PACQUIAO VS BARRIOS PRIZE MONEY SHOWS ‘PAC-MAN’ TO EARN MORE THAN USD10 MILLION
The Pacquiao vs Barrios prize money shows “Pac-Man” could earn more than USD10 million.
Even though the 46-year-old ring legend is coming off a four-year pro hiatus, he remains a top draw.
Despite the boxer-politician insisting that his passion for the sport made him return, it is no secret that he will be rewarded win or lose on Saturday.
In the same way, Pacquiao, www.marca.com reported, could earn no less than USD10 million after he challenges Mario Barrios for the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight title.
As a challenger, reports said the eight-division champion will get USD12 million plus a major percentage of pay-per-view sales.
That could bring his total earnings to around USD17 to USD18 million.
However, a chunk of it would go to taxes and other fees, making the USD10 million estimate a realistic number for “Pac-Man.”

BARRIOS PRIZE MONEY POSSIBLY ALMOST USD1 MILLION DESPITE CHAMPION STATUS
On the other hand, Barrios’ prize money could possibly go to almost USD1 million
This is regardless if he retains his WBC title or not.
However, that doesn’t include a portion of the TV revenues, meaning his net income could go not over USD3.5 million.
In comparison, the 30-year-old American reportedly earned USD1.5 million when he faced Gervonta Davis on June 26, 2021.
As a result, “El Azteca” could get his biggest payday in his career for just staking his title against Pacquiao.
Meanwhile, the final weigh-in between the two fighters is set on Friday.

FUNDORA-TSZYU REMATCH IS CO-MAIN EVENT
Serving as the main co-main event for the Pacquiao vs Barrios fight would be the rematch between Sebastian Fundora against Tim Tszyu.
Nonetheless, this rematch could take some of the spotlight from the main event, with Fundora (21-1-1, 14 KOs) stripped of his World Boxing Organization title to face Tszyu (25-2, 18 KOs).
Additionally, the 27-year-old American still has his WBC light middleweight title.
Fundora claimed a split-decision win over Tszyu in their March 30, 2024, fight.
“It doesn’t matter what happened in the first fight because we have the second fight coming up,” Fundora told The Associated Press.
“Tune in on Saturday, because it’s going to be another great war,” he added.
