PACQUIAO VS BARRIOS FIGHT CARRIES HISTORIC STAKES FOR PAC-MAN TO WASTE OPPORTUNITY
The Pacquiao vs Barrios fight on July 18 carries lots of historic stakes for the Filipino boxing legend for him to waste the opportunity for greatness.
Furthermore, the 46-year-old eight-division world champion currently holds the record for the oldest champion at 40 after his 2019 win over Keith Thurman.
Moreover, that win added the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super welterweight title to Pacquiao’s collection.
A win over the 30-year-old Barrios not only adds his World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight belt but adjusts the oldest world champion tag to 46.
“This fight is very important to me because it’s history,” Pacquiao said on Thursday.
“I believe I’d be the first Hall of Famer to win another world title, and I’d also break my own record as the oldest welterweight world champion,” he added.

PAC-MAN COULD FACE BENN IF HE BEATS BARRIOS
More big fights and shots of re-establishing history to an already Hall-of-Fame career awaits Pacquiao.
Moreover, Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) could challenge the winner of the July 19 fight.
Furthermore, the 28-year-old British fighter poses to be a stronger fighter for Pacquiao.
Moreover, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman told Sky Sports that Benn is eligible to challenge for the Pacquiao-Barrios winner.
“He is ranked by the WBC, Eubank also is ranked by the WBC, different weight categories. It is up to him (Benn),” Sulaiman said.
“Right now if he’s doing a rematch, then he’s not going to challenge for the WBC for some time but he’s eligible,” he added.
UGAS PRAISES PACQUIAO, WARNS BARRIOS IN ‘LOSE-LOSE SITUATION’ REGARDLESS OF RESULT
Yordenis Ugas, who was the last fighter to beat Pacquiao in his last fight before his 2021 retirenet, lauded his former opponent.
Furthermore, the Cuban fighter described Pacquiao as a “warrior, a champ, and a legend.” despite his unanimous decision win on August 21, 2021.
Moreover, he also warned Barrios that fighting Pacquiao is a “lose-lose situation.”
The Cuban lost via unanimous decision to Barrios in September 2023,
“It could be a lose-lose situation. If he wins, people will say, ‘Pacquiao was old.’ If he loses, they’ll say, ‘You lost to an old man,’” Ugas said.
“Barrios is taking a big risk,” he added.

Furthermore, the recent Hall-of-Fame inductee could become the oldest world champion and the first hall-of-famer to do it.
Moreover, he assured fans that “there are no distractions” in his preparation.
“I think I have two or three more fights left,” Pacquiao said.
“But right now I’m 100 per cent and there are no distractions,” he added.
