Manny Pacquiao announced his exhibition match against Rizin featherweight champion Chihiro Suzuki on July 28 in Saitama, Japan.

Pacquiao returns in a Rizin exhibition match

The eight-time division world champion is set to fight Suzuki in a three-round boxing exhibition at Super Rizin 3.

“Finally next month I am going to fight in Japan,” the 45-year-old Pacquiao said.

“I hope everybody is going to watch the fight. To all the fans, please come and watch on July 28. It is going to be a good fight [with] a lot of action.”

Pacquiao, who boasts a record of 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts, retired from professional boxing after losing to Yordenis Ugas in 2021.

Suzuki ready to face Pacman

Suzuki, 25, is Rizin’s current featherweight champion.

The Peruvian-Japanese fighter had an interesting exchange with the Filipino boxing icon during their faceoff.

“With all due respect, I’m going to knock you out in the first round,” Suzuki said i

“I will do my best, I will let him know that boxing is harder than an MMA fight,” Pacquiao said in response.

Nonetheless, Suzuki has nothing but love and respect for Pacquiao.

“In a way this is a challenge for me,” he said. “It’s a real honor to be able to fight against someone who has made history, so I will face him with respect. For me, it’s one of the biggest challenges of my life and a test that I have to overcome.”
